I tried the bike pump too...worked 1 time and then I left the air out and could't get air back in. The 40.00 for the HD pump is well worth it. \\; My shocks drop 2-3 lbs over the weekend.
Shouldn't lose any air at all over a weekend. I "top mine off" maybe 2X a year. Never took more than 2-3 lbs.

Go with a new Harley pump.......they are reasonable and work great.
LOL... I'm not one to throw money away\\; however, come on... over $20,000 for a new bike, but won't spring $50 for a pump that will definitely work?? \\; Just go to the stealership and buy the pump. \\; \\;  \\;
I used a Wally World foot tire pump for years. \\; Couple-a-decades, actually. \\; Now I just turn the regulator on the compressor down to 20 PSI and use my tire chock.
