Default Self inflicted shock problem??

I tried the second set of low profile shocks out today. These were the HD low profile shocks, that were supposedly not suppose to bottom out. Well long story short, they gotta come off as the wife didn't like the ride as well as stock &nbsp\\; Problem is I accidently knocked one of the stock shocks over and lost a puddle of oil about the size of a coffee can lid. Service manual states you cannot service if this happens, they need to be replaced Anyone have a fix. Problem also is I don't know which shock leaked now since I put them away. Do I need to buy a new set of shocks? Anyone want to buy my low profile? They have a wopping 175 miles &lt\\;G&gt\\;?

I just had one replaced under warranty (it blew out a seal or something inside the boot) and the invoice lists it as $175, so replacing a pair of that age would amount to $2/mile. I think I would drain both shocks and refill them before I tried anything else.

If that is the thread I am thinking of, I believe he describes using a syringe to remove / add the oil.

Are you sure you set the air pressure correctly. 2-up you need about 30 lbs.
I have this shock and have never had a problem 2-up or solo (about 10 lbs.).

Started out at 25 then 30 - 32 - 36 - quit at 40. Ride was getting a tad too stiff. We get some nasty roads up here in the Dakota's and Minnesota from the winter frost in the ground. It looks like I'm just gonna stay with the stockers..
