 \\; Is there any ideas on stiffing up rear shocks.I'm big boy about 245 and my daughter took after dad she goes about 150.when I take her for a ride its about to much for my 04 1200. Any ideas besides diet. She really likes going with me and I love having her along. Thanks Mud Cut
Longer heavy duty shocks. \\; Might as well go Progressive if you are willing to change shocks. Setting on max pre-load might help some too.

If you're still running the stock shocks, have you tried turning up the setting? \\; I'm not as heavy as you, only 170 but I occasionally carry passengers going at 150 and I keep mine at the 2nd setting. \\; Makes it a little stiff when solo but not bad and when carrying no problem at all. \\; Bike does sit up a bit higher though.
 \\;
I am probably about 215 with all of my gear on and have finally found a setting that wont bottom out my Nightster. \\; I tried the third notch for a while and it was an improvement over the second, but the other day I bumped it up to the first and it hasn't bottomed out since. \\; Up here in Maine we have more frost heaves than I know what to do with and have found that I would rather have a way to stiff ride until I get progressives rather than bottoming out every other pot hole.
+1 on the Progressives. \\; - I am 230 - put on the 12" Heavy Duty 412's - work great. \\; You might also upgrade the fork springs. \\; DIY and both ends will be under $275

Where you buyin from? I can't find shocks under $300 (new anyway)
Sick,
I got my shocks from Easternperformance (about 190 delivered) and the fork springs on ebay - about 70 delivered. \\;\\\\\\; Bought mine over the winter.
