Man, do they suck! Are they the stock shocks on the Street Glide?
I had them on my Road King because I needed it lowered.
For some reason, a pleasant surprise, I don't need my RGU lowered, so I have the stock shocks on it.
Man, what a difference! I never knew how harsh those profile low shocks were until I started riding an RGU.
I know there are a lot of folks that say HD suspension sucks, I wouldnt disagree, but I'm a happy camper now. Thats probably because I was riding those profile low shocks for a year!
I had the 12" air-shocks on my RK Custom. It got so when I saw a bump coming, I'd tense up and raise up off the seat, trying to take some of it with my legs. Some of the hits I took (that I didn't see coming) actually caused me to take a hit of air...like I'd been hit in the stomach. Only, the blow was to my spine... No thanks. There's better ways to get a lowered stance.

I feel you completely on the bumps. what did you change yours to? I need mine lowered because I am vertically challenged. I want to know what some of the better options are.
Yes, you are correct, "THEY SUCK!" They lasted about 1 month on my '06 SG. My back couldn't take it no more so I traded with a indy that purchased a brand new police bike to customize. He wanted the low profile and I wanted the 13" standard shocks. I've been happy with the ride ever since.
