I added the 21" front wheel but didnt want to lower the tubes and lowered the rear 1.5"all at the same session, in my honest opinion the handling \\;was much worse than i \\;knew it would be. I know not to alter the rake and trail, but liked the look of the lowered rear. So now i am removing the lowering kit on the rear in an effort to increase the handling. BUT.. with the 21 raising the front end slightly and the rear in an oem stance, will the rake and handling be close to factory cornering?
I run Street Glide shocks with no lowering on the front end. I am running a 21/18 setup like you are talking about with no problems.

I did just put my touring shocks back on last night in prep for a (very) long road trip. I have done roadtrips loaded with the same setup you are asking about with no adverse handling characteristics (that would not be expected on any touring bike).
