We have an '06, before the&nbsp\\;02 sensors. The right side had a catalyst muffler, but the left side didn't.

Installed my floorboard extenders I fab myself while the bike is on ack I was assessing how the corsover is incorporated, the&nbsp\\;mufflers are the same on this 07 RKC.&nbsp\\; Having discovered that I also notice how the exhaust is put together which I only have to cover the spot where the crosover is attached at the rear cylinder, where it is attached to the front cylinder pipe I can replace that section with a straight pipe.

I used the black Fullsac conversion kit on my 07 SG and have been very happy with it for over 18,000 miles.&nbsp\\; Only $169.00 and bolt on.&nbsp\\; Used my stock chrome pipe covers and it all worked out.&nbsp\\; Exhause in stereo is great!

Assuming, at least, that is not an HDI or a California model anyway, if they are built the same both left/right then they are not stock mufflers. If they are stock mufflers then the two are not the same internally.

As has already been mentioned, TD's will decrease low-end and midrange torque. The assertion that they increase top-end power is probably not valid on a stock engine, as verified by Jamie at Fuel Moto. In fact, his Jackpot mufflers with custom baffles dyno much better than any TD's, even peak HP, and use the stock head pipes. This makes them much cheaper than any TD setup. At least check them out before committing on any exhaust mods:

http://fuelmotousa.com/jackpot.htm

Advocates of TD's like the stereophonic sound, more open appearance, and lack of a crossover pipe, thus reducing some heat on the right leg. But if you want to retain or increase performance, TD's are not the way to go on an otherise stock engine. Call Jamie at Fuel Moto for more info on this, as he's the expert who sells them all.

As shown in his dyno charts, the TC88 peaks at 75HP and 84TQ @ 3400, and the TC96 78HP and 94TQ @ 3000-3700 RPM's. If anyone has dynoed an otherwise-stock TC88 or TC96 equipped with TD's showing higher HP or TQ numbers, please let me know and I'll retract my statement (more TQ and no HP gain) for this and future threads.

&nbsp\\; I installed a crossover elimination kit on my Ultra.
&nbsp\\; I did not notice much of a change....either in torque or noise.
My g/f noticed that he heat level on her right leg was reduced
and I like the looks.
&nbsp\\; I bought mine from a member here....and it was about $40...allot
cheaper than other kits that include new mufflers etc.
&nbsp\\; But like I said, my performance did not change one way or the other.

I didn't notice any difference when I went to TD's in low end or top end. If it changed it was not noticable

To themensh and jsimo7:

No offense intended, but I was referring to a dyno chart comparison, not a seat-of-the-pants impression. A few HP or TQ one way or the other may not be easily discernible without a dyno run, and indeed may not be important to many riders in light of other qualities TD's offer. I'm not talking big HP or TQ differences here, but they are nonetheless real with all other factors being equal. As I said, Jamie at Fuel Moto performs 100+ dyno tunes per month during his active season (i.e., not winter in WI), and he sells and tunes them all. He can be more specific and will be happy to answer more detailed questions along these lines. Coming from a pro is more credible than a jackleg scooter wrench like me.

So I didn't come across as being anti-TD in my previous message, I did mention the pros that I understand go along with a TD mod. I've never had TD's so I can't speak from direct experience. Some might find the advantages of TD's more important than a small decrease in HP or TQ numbers, but they need to be mentioned anyway, IMO.
