Good morning,
 \\;
I am looking at buying my first HD and know of a 75th Anivesary RoadKing that is available. It has very bery low \\;miles, under 2000. The owner was a retired farmer, was sick and he passed away. Its decked out with all the bags and other extra. Sorry I don't know what everything is, its been awhile since I have seen it.
I know its a carb. engine, chain drive. \\; I would appreciate some input on its \\;value, concerns with that year, etc.
 \\;
 \\;
Thanks for your reply.
Keepherrolling!!

What are they asking for it, if is within what you are willing to pay, buy it already. You will be happy with the bike even if you feel you got hosed. It has low miles but has it been dropped, scratched, dented?? all that stuff matters if you want these guys to give you a number. First off go to NADA and see what their value for it is. NADA looks like $8,000 low, to $10500 average, suggested retail $16,650

Good luck getting that first Harley, you wont regret it.
 \\;How long has it been sitting?? or has it been ran often ? The carbs might have to be cleaned out and its not too good for a bike thats sits for a long time things start to dry out (seals,&\\; ect,) unless great deal I,d be carefull \\; \\; Just my 2cents \\; \\; \\; \\; \\;&nbs p\\; \\;  \\;Good Luck
CRAP!!!! I was't even paying attention to the 75th I saw the 2000 miles and assumed 100th. scatch that whole thing. you may want to look at something newer for a first bike. Unless you dont' mind putting in the shop a while.
There's no such thing as a 75th anniversary Road King. The "Road Kings" came out in 1994 and did not have a chain drive, it was a belt. Something smelling fishy here !!!!!!!!!![sm=confused06.gif]
maybe it is like deadlevel said an eg sport. this is his third post asking about a bike. He doesn't seem to know much about bikes and just thinks it\\;s a RK. If it is a 78 I don't think I would go there unless it is dirt cheap. Even then it will need new rubber and carb rebuild and every hose probably is dry rotted. Lots of work in that one. Could you imagine what a dealer would charge to do all of that.
