I never save anything for the next guy! For my hard earned $, I like to be the one who gets to scratch, nick and scuff! Then I can justify the new paint to the wife!
Still undecided but thanks for the info. I seen a set go on e-bay for $100 + shipping. Then went to Harley site and they cost $89 Are there more than one kind or does this guy have more $ than sense ?
I put them on because my wife is short and I found myself waxing off scuff marks every time we rode together.I can also set her helmet on top of the bag without worrying about scuff marks. They come off in about 10 seconds if I dont want them on.And no,they dont hurt the paint under them at all.
When i had my Road King thought about the covers but went with \\;\\\\\\; the chrome lid rails. The rails work at keeping boot marks off and also was able to bungee stuff to them.
