My buddy's RK 1994 has the hard bags, his bags get a fine dust that looks and smells like fiberglas, has anybody else had this problem? It coats whatever is in the bags and it is really a PITA. I told him I would ask on this forum, he is too lazy to join.

 

Mine is a 1996, and no problems here.

 

The fiberglass is drying out. He might try painting the interior of the bags with some sort of sealant.

 

There's a ton of products to carpet inside your saddlebags.&nbsp\\; Easiest.&nbsp\\; Go to WalMart or Home Depot, buy some carpet, glue, make template out of butcher paper.&nbsp\\; Cut the carpet, and install.&nbsp\\; End of problem..

 

&nbsp\\;Just paint the interior with clear paint.

 

Rubberized undercoating, will stop it, and give a nice soft finish inside the bag.
