Road King Hard Bag Question
Hi
This may seem a stupid question .. but humour me
Looking for a road king with hard bags and it "seems" that some are narrower than others ? Is this the case (excluding stretched bags) or is it a case that the colour of the bike ... it seems to be black ... makes the hard bags seem somehow sleeker ?

My '02 ultra's hard bags were narrower than my '17 Road-King's. My ultra was my first bagger, my R-K is my second. I would say that factory bags vary by year, and the differences would be in the how they mount. If you were to see about getting a style you like, the mounting would be my concern. I like the way my King's bags look, and the added space is a plus. To answer your question a little deeper, the same year bikes should be able to interchange saddle bags. The exceptions may be with the larger touring bikes due to the crash-guards which wrap around the entire saddle bag.------------------------RJ
