I worked at a top level Lexus dealer for a few years and you couldn't believe the shop damage. Every day there were nicks and scratches. They just hoped you took the car without noticing. After you leave they are "not responsible". Don't think the same thing doesn't happen at your HD dealer.

I take them off, just tell the shop that I'm gonna clean and wax them while it's there...no harm, no foul.

On the rare occasion my bike goes to the shop, the bags always stay home.

Think I'll take them off, drop off the bike, and when I pick it back up, I'll jump up and down screaming WHERE THE HELL ARE MY BAGS!!!!!! Can always use a spare pair. Recon they would notice the fairing and fenders missing?
