Default Remove saddlebags before dealer servicing?

I'll be going in for my&nbsp\\;1K dealer service in a few weeks or so and was wondering if any folks here remove their saddlebags before dropping of their bikes or leave them on.

Lemme hear it! [8D]

Never thought about it.&nbsp\\; I wonder how many guys have had bad experiences?&nbsp\\; I guess it would be over the top to go over the bike with the writer so we all know the condition.&nbsp\\; It seems to me that it would be good PR for a dealer to do a similar sheet like the car rental folks do.&nbsp\\; I would make me feel better.

Never take mine to the DEALER for any service work.

I have never removed mine, no issues either. My dealer does a walk around while I'm standing next to the bike. Any scratches or marks are noted ( there isn't any). Bike comes back that way or dealer replaces any damage.

After what had happened to mine, I would take them off the next time I go to the dealer's service dept. Better be safe than sorry.

Do the work myself, or get a good indy....try to avoid a dealer at all costs.

I would take 'em off, just to be on the safe side.&nbsp\\; It only takes a few seconds compared to possibly weeks to get new bags or have the scratch repaired.

I took mine off when I had the stage 1 done.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Probably will again, if it needs to go in the shop.&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;

Not a bad idea, but what kind of unspoken message does that send to the shop that you trust to work on your bike.
