I have a set of SE II slip ons on my 06SG and IM fixen to pull the baffles out and put in some big city monster baffles .Just wondering what I need to do to pull out old and put in new.Im not the most mechanicly inclined SOB in the world so I thought Id ask before I Start removing anything.
I just removed the core on a 65254-00 muffler, part of the Touring Muffler set 65259-00 , it was held in place by two welds, I used a small grinder (Dremmel tool) to grind down the welds, then sprayed some WD-40 to help it slide out > turned the muffler to the other end and used a metal rod similar to a 1/2 " long extension to tap on the edge of inner most tube, and it took a while to get it out that way.
If you look at the picture, the 3 5/16 " end had the 2 welds, located easily after removing the end cap and the 1 3/4 OD tube on the other end is what I hit to push it out.
