BUB7 Baffles
Looking for anyone who has had any luck removing the baffle from a set of BUB7 mufflers. I have removed all of the set screws and the baffle doesn't want to slide out the end cap moves a bit, I must be missing something almost seems to be held in the front. Thanks Tripp.
I have removed the baffles from my bub 7 true duels and put in the quiet baffles. Its not complicated but its not easy. You have to remove the end cap then grab the baffles with a good set of plyers and wiggle them back and forth until the come out. If you dont remove the endcap the baffles are impossible to remove. You might need a rubber malet to get the end caps loose to get things started.
Man those end caps are a *****, I beat and banged with a rubber hammer, they just seem to bounce in and out only about 3/16. these are a real pain in the ***. are they siliconed in when new? seems to be real springy.
I have Bub 7 Stealths and had to change out the end caps under warranty. They were mounted in with some type of High Temp RTV material. One side slid right out, the other had to be worked on for a while.
Once I got the caps off, the baffles could be slid right out. (screws removed)

I didn't have any adhesive's or sealants used on mine when I replaced the baffles to the quiet ones.
I think I did have to do some gentle rubber mallet tapping on the end caps and the baffles came out with some pulling force using channel locks I think.
They actually came out easier than I expected but no doubt the longer they have been on the more tight the bind has gotten!
You might have to put on a John Wayne movie and open up a can of True Grit on them there thangs
