Detachable, on RKC, rock solid, on or off in less than 5 minutes, IMHO looks better without it but It'll hold 3-4 bags of groceries or similar which is nice when you need it.
Ordered a detachable with the Ultra TourPak for my 08 Road Glide. \\; Just canceled and am going with the "fixed". \\; I am currently using a Kuryakyn Grand Tour Pak I used for trips but discovered I really like the extra storage. \\; I found as a daily driver (gas prices) I like the storage of the Kuryakyn but don't like the looks as a "permanant" pak. \\; I guess time will tell but do not plan on taking off the Ultra Pak at all. \\; Just my 2cts worth.
I have the detachable on my RK and it's mostly off. \\; It's a high-up heavy weight that I don't miss for local rides. \\; But it's nice to slap on for that extra storage on long trips.
I have the detachable tour pack and it hasn't been detached since I put it on. \\;\\\\\\; Like to haul my junk around. \\;\\\\\\; Never had a fitment issue with it.

Same here. \\; \\; Only time I have had it off, was to install LED tail lights and it was easier (and cooler), to bring the tourpack in the house. \\;
Detachable tour pack is a nice option to have especially if mama doesn't ride alot and most of your riding is fairly local. For day trips you can get everything you need in the 2 saddlebags. Like others I really like the look of the bike when it's off.
