The best I've done to date is 53+ mpg. This was on Interstate 81, riding two-up, in 6th gear, with the cruise control set at ~65 mph.
Around town I average 35-40 mpg.

Here's a story for you. I have an 08 Ultra. I installed the big sucker air kit, the V&\\;H standard slip ons and the V&\\;H Fuel Pak. I set the fuel pak according to their instructions with my stock ECU. I was getting 28-30mph. I changed the fule pak setting for a stage 1 ecu and now getting 40-45. I also agree that you will get better fuel mileage if you leave it in 5th gear in hilly areas and 6th on flat roads. \\;

my bud got 49 mpg on a 2003 fat boy carburated, you would think that a fuel injected 2007 ultra would get better than 38 mpg,

I regularly get close to 50 on my trips when I stay on the 2 lane backroads around the Arizona-Nevada back countries. \\; I got well over 50 going east through the Mojave desert last week but I had a strong wind at my back. \\; In town I never get less than 40 on my 2007 Ultra. \\; Stage 1 with SE air cleaner and SE slipons...

I recently took a trip acroos country on a 07 FLHT, from Ga to WA to CA and back to GA. Most of the time I got 38-42 MPG. Coming across Texas it was 103* one day and I got 48 mpg for three tanks, go figure. Lot's of variables.

My carb E Glide will 45 all day long during a weekend ride. \\; Buddy's 07 UC gets 35, not matter how we drive.
Consequently, I get 38 around town, lots of start ups short ride to work. \\;
