RoadGlide Build Date: 08/07Failed 360 miles from home about 3,000 miles on the speedometer- Local dealer in the area provided fast roadside pickup but they were waiting for more canisters to arrive on backorder.Got a ride home from friends who were with me(don't even ask) and had to take a train and taxi to go pick my bike up at the dealer a few days later after the part arrived.
That particular dealer had 5 bikes sitting in the shop waiting for the part plus one that came in after my bike came in.My local dealer hasn't seen much of the problem at all....I was able to keep going for around 100 miles when it started to fail, keeping the RPM's up etc maintained 60mph until it finally became much worse.
08 SG with build date of 10/07. \\; Failed at 4000 miles. \\;I was able to ride it directly to the dealer by keeping rpms up above 3K. \\; Fortunately, I was only 5 miles from the dealer.
