Default Speaker replacement

I was wondering how many have done?and what kind of pain is it.. I got to have my tunes[sm=bling.gif]

Simple job, just pop the outer fairing off and replace the speakers. 20-30 minutes.

This is correct. If you have a batwing fairing it is easier than the shark nose like mine. Make sure you have a service manual. It rally helps. Don't forget to cover your front fender and tank in case something falls on them.

Thanks.... for some reason I thought I would have to remove the inner fairing.... I have a service manual. are the Hog tune my best bet?

Dude, HogTunes are great products, but, in my opinion, I haven't found anything as good as Hawg-Wired products for amplifiers and speakers...damn they're good. For just the speakers--at 50w rated, check out http://hawg-wired.com/catalog/produc...products_id=30. They are coming out with a new four-channel amplifier this May that I'm waiting on; I plan to add rear speakers to a quick-release King Tour-Pak for a Street Glide giving me all that extra power and sound I want for all those high-speed cruises...wind, no problem. Good luck on your upgrades.

Just finished doing that exact thing only hold up i had was figureing out how the little plastic piece that has the cloth grill (for lack of a better description) came off the speaker just a tad of pressure and the speaker pops right out...total time 30-45 min max. I didnt take the outer fairing completely off so your milage may vary.

Cool...I can't wait to do my four-channel and rear speaker setup. When I do, I'll be posting pictures of amp addition on the radio inside fairing and setup of rear speakers. I plan to do it myself as well as putting passing lamps on for better night riding. C-ya.

No man, talking about a SG that's got front turn signals but no passing lamps; they have to be added if you want them. Looks better without but safer if you do any night riding, and I give it a safety call.

Of the topic but I wonder which passing light bulb is the best for night riding, give most light?

I have my SG waiting for me but I think the extra light at night and to bee seen in rain is a very god option.
