Hey
wanting to know the differences \\;between  \\;the years \\; 02, 03, 04, 05, \\; and 06 Ultras?
are some years better than others?
more accessories for some years?
or are they all basically the same great bikes
looking to get another Ultra
Love my 94
Thanks
Think they made some minor frame mods in 04/05 and 05 came with the vented lower fairings. \\; Don't hold me to it, but I think the cd player may have been introduced in 03 and then they went to Harmon Kardon \\;ed player \\;in 06 with a slight change to the tourpack design \\;and added LED lights on the lower part of the tour pack vs. bulbs.
04 changed to GTX nylon saddlebags as apposed to fiberglass
05 had the different heads, many early 05 had the valve guide seal issue that cause them to use oil
06 got the GTX nylon tour pak, which was also slightly less deep and more streamlined, with the 2 different mount positions fore and aft, also the reduced effort clutch, and the new Harmon Kardon Audio system. I think 06 is also where they changed the fuel injectors.
All of which adds up to: if you do not have to have the latest, a nice, low mile 2006 Ultra is the perfect used bike imho. I have my eye on one that I am agonizing over right now.
But I will admit that I think ABS is a good thing.
