Saturday was a nice rainy day, so I took the time to put on some parts I've had sitting on the shelf. I changed out my derby and timer covers, put on a luggage rack and some other miscellaneous items.
Idiot Move #1:
I took her out Sunday to breakfast, and noticed that I had fluid leaking from my primary. Obviously this was due to my lack of tightening of the derby cover. I was two blocks away from my Harley dealer. I took it in and they laughed with me, and took care of me in a few minutes and had me back on the way.
Idiot Move #2:
After leaving the dealer, we stopped for gas. My wife pulled up to the pump, and proceeded to fill up.......with Diesel. I don't know how she did. I proceeded to call the dealer, and they came within 5 minutes and towed her bike back to the service department.
2 bikes into service for non-routine maintenance in one day. All I can say is that I need to invest in a torque wrench, and my wife will probably never fill up with Diesel again.
For this I nominate us for the Idiot Sticker of the week.
Thanks to Seminole Harley-Davidson for being considerate, and helpful in dealing with these idiot moves.
Figured this would be a good laugh for some of you.
Hahahahahaha with you, not atcha.

The only people who have never screwed up are people have have never done anything.
Oh and my wife. According to her anyway.
Crap happens, doesn't it. \\; Well, here's your sign. \\; I've had mine. \\; Most resent was a quick oil change to get down the highway. \\; New filter on, and and starting to pour the oil in. \\; Only problem, still hadn't put back in the plug. \\; Here's my sign.....
That stuff happens to us all one time or another. \\; Years ago I had a Honda 305 'beater' that I rode to a very small town in central Nevada. \\; I filled up. \\; The station attendent asked me which pump I used so he could charge me at the register. \\; I had filled with Kerosene! \\; I had never seen a Kerosene pump at the pump island in my life. \\; We took the bike over to the edge of the asphalt, turned it upside down and drained the tank. \\; After starting up again with gas it smoked just a little and then cleared right up. \\; I had to pay for the gas and the kerosene. In those days it was probably less than $4 for both. \\; ...... \\; BC
