Default removing fairing

tried to post longer question ...but seems cant write in more than 2 lines. how to remove fairing dash to access a 12v power for a GPS wire. any photos ?

To get into the fairing you will have to remove the outer shell. Here's a thread with step by step instructions.

The "dash" ("Fairing Cap" in Harley-speak) can be removed without removing the outer fairing or inner fairing.
&nbsp\\;
The Service Manual explains how to remove the ignition switch\\; then remove the screws on either side and unplug the electrical connector.&nbsp\\; My '04 procedure is different from your '08.

I just took off the front fairing and connected to the back of the cigarette lighter.

Or you can quickly take out the headlight (just a few screws) and find the 12V accessory plug back there.

Outer fairing can be removed in 3 minutes (7 screws).&nbsp\\; Inner fairing closer to 3 hours!&nbsp\\;
