Yep, used my Tom Tom XL last June to guide me through back roads from Savannah Ga, to Alpharetta, GA, to Murphy N.c., then to Tellico Plains, TN, , then back down through Franklin, NC, through Helen, Ga, to Alpharetta, and then back roads through Augusta, Ga to Svannah, Ga.
Worked great.
I used the windshield mount, and plugged it into the cigarette lighter jack with NO problems. I wrapped the extra cord around my left handlebar between the controls and the fairing on my 2005 Electraglide. It worked great. It worked so well, the other three bikes I was riding with, all have the same unit. Good for me, I dont have to lead the whole way now. I recommend it highly.

First: the routing engine is way more important than the maps. I have used a Garmin, Megallan and a TomTom in the past 3 months and I liked the maps on each one of them but the routing engine on the TomTom was the best. I ended up keeping the TomTom Go720 and returning the others. It's the nicest and most user friendly GPS i've used and the PC software is awesome. You can easily createe routes from your PC and upload them to your GPS. It's not waterproof but my windshield bag is so i'm not worried about that. I'm absolutely sold on it and won't usee anything else. I usee a RAM mount. \\;Sorry about some of the extra e's. It kept crashing if I spelled those words correctly.
