Bought a '90 FLTCU in Jan, first Harley in 15 years, has 127 Ultima w/6 speed, nice bike just a lot of problems. Was going to shim extension shaft, was .060 diff between sprockets. pulled ext shaft to find back 1/8 of spline? gone, all teeth on rotor gone, was just spining on shaft, (1) magnet was on stator, others in bad shape, did I say no shim behind ext shaft, stator windings coating and some metal rubbed off each winding, back teeth om pinion gear damaged, hopefully salvagable. 2,000 miles since bike was built, 500 of which I have put on, have spent more time fixing things, bought from St.Paul Harley, was salespersons bikee, financed threw them, hope they will help me out.
