Default Clutch Adjustment ?
Did the 5000 mile service on the wife's 08 SG and switched over to Royal Purple Synthetic.&nbsp\\; Did the clutch adjustment per the manual ( and as I have done in the past on my ultra).&nbsp\\; Shifts great, except when going from neutral to 1st, it makes a clunk.&nbsp\\; Do I need to tighten the cable more?&nbsp\\; I am thinking it is not disengaging all the way.&nbsp\\; Any advice would be appreciated.

I thought they all clunked?&nbsp\\; LOL&nbsp\\; seriously, mine's clunked for 9+ years and 67,000 miles.&nbsp\\; Unless I define "clunk" different than you.

mine always clunks..but it clunks smoothly

I decided to redo the cable adjustment.&nbsp\\; Loosened off all the way and started over.&nbsp\\; Much better now.

From neautral shift up to second then down to first,&nbsp\\; way Way less clunking goin on....
&nbsp\\; Espeically when not warmed up real good,,,
