I installed the radio today and all went well. I spent $40 on the radio $5 for the power adapter and $11 for misc. Need more info I will post as requested due to system problems.
I just put the XM Radio in my truck for a trip and when I get back to NJ I'm going to put it on the bike. \\; I love the no commercials and constant music!! \\; Great Stuff!!!!!!!
Has anyone heard anything new about the proprosed merger of XM and Sirius? I don't want to do anything until that is complete so my radio isn't obsolete.
RE - The merger.. \\; I've got both XM and Sirius.. and have received info from both that all existing radios will work after the merger.. you will be able to pick and choose which stations you want from either service.. merger still has one hump to clear, possibly by the end of the year..
 \\; you can go to either www.sirius.com or www.xm.com for info onthem
 \\;
 \\;have the xm built in.. but the sirius in the car, so I added the sirius to the bike.. used a bicycle handlebar adapter to mount the receiver.. and used double sided outdoor foam tape to mount the antenna on the inner fairing by the brake reservoir.. powered by the spade lug on the back of the cig lighter...I got the pre-FCC unit, so it broadcasts onto my FM station in the radio.. used the Aux jack for the mp3 player...
works great.
