Very bad in central Illinois. \\; I really don't want to ride at night. \\; I have on occassion and I back it down to 40-45mph tops. \\; My eyes hurt from the strain from watching the road and ditches on both sides!
Living here in SW Michigan, it doesn't seem to matter what time it is. Wife and I have been on several rides, seen them right next to the road at noon. Went on vacation up in NW Lower Peninsula a month ago, we rode every day, and saw at least a dozen fawns at different spots on different days standing in the road in the early afternoon. \\; Wife rides her own, and back in May, I was leading, she was about 2 seconds behind me, we had a doe run across the road right between us! She had to stop for a few minutes........
Thick as thieves in my part of Ohio. \\; I was riding in the Hocking Hills on Saturday and had to pucker up twice because of deer next to or crossing the road in front of me. \\; All of them were fawns and it was still a couple of hours before sunset.

They are bad here in NW AR, but worse during the fall/early winter. \\; I have neighbors that think deer season is something you buy at Wal*Mart to put on the meat. \\; I had one steal the mirror off my Corolla one morning. \\; There was hair stuck in the fender trim. \\; I swear there must be an 8 point buck with a Rolla mirror stuck in his rack so he can see hunters sneaking up on him.
 \\; I got ambushed by one about a month ago. It was \\;only 1/2 mile from my house and \\;I know there are \\;a lot of them here.
I was only going about 40-45 MPH but the little guy was laying in the weeds and jumped up about 60 FT in front of me. \\;
 \\;I'm almost recovered from a broken shoulder blade and collar bone. The bike will be in the shop for quite awhile.
That deer won't \\;do it again. \\;
We have alot here in W. Ga. I have them in my yard every night. I ride at night anyway, but go slower and pay attention. They are small in the south. Ive had bigger dogs.
I'm from Fla. and they are smaller here, but you still will have a bad day if you hit one.
From: Creektown aka Lower Alabama, but not that low
RE: Suicidal Deer
Here in South Alabama the deer population is 38+ per acre in my county\\; humans are 18 per acre. Yeah, we got a problem. Unless you're a hunter. Of course, they tend to disappear the first day of the season\\
they are terrible here in central illinois. i see them at all times of the day in tghe country or in the city. i try to help thin out the herd every fall...but it doesnt seem to help much.
