ive got a 07 rk .and ive ordered a set of xied's to richin up the afr , i was wondering has anyone done anything with the stock exhaust ,such as bending down the tab on the right pipe or opening up the tabs on the left side , i dont want it to be to loud just a tad more . a freind of mine spent big $$$$ on his after market exhaust and in my opion its just to damn loud . i just want alittle more and if i can get it with the stock exhaust than thats what i'll do so any info would be greatly appricated

I don't know who started the bend down the tab rumor?, but there aren't any tabs. The right muffler has what is essentialy to pipes flattened in half overlapping each other.The left pipe is a short baffle about five inches long with a series of oblong holes around the circumfrence with the end (on the inside) pinched closed.Cut em open you'll see what I meen.
I wouldnt mess with your OEM slip-ons ya never know when EPA\\State will start smoging bikes (by 2010) or with all this excessive noise limits. \\; If ya have the OEM Exhaust you can always slip them back on if needed.
