This is the third time I've been told: \\; "your batwing will be ready on Monday" .. Had the same problem (delays) on tank, saddlebags, fenders with three (3) different bikes. \\; What's up with Painters, if I did that on my job I'd get canned[:@][:@][:@]
craig i'd say from experiance yes they are all that way i was told bring me your fairing so i can match it then 3 weeks later after 5or 6 trips down he actually started workin on it. MAN I WISH I COULD PAINT
Hey BlueFLHT, they weren't the same painter. \\; Three different bikes, over a period of time. \\; I'm not insane! \\; And yes Mr. Buck, it is truly frustrating. \\; Now I'm a week from pulling out for Sturgis, and he's promising me it'll be ready.  \\;[:@][:@] \\; Sure, and I'm glueing crap together the night before I pull out.
Oh, and it seems that the most gifted and talented are the worst for hittin' a deadline, at least for me. \\; And I've got no desire to learn the trade of painting at this point in my life. \\; I know, then quityerbitchin' right? \\; I just thought I could vent a little on this forum....
Sure you can vent, I have had a similar experience, with a painter that has painted 2 of my bikes.
"my" painter, who is very good, had me waiting 19 weeks to finish my hard bags. I had to jump through hoops to get him to finish it... I guess artists, some anyway, are hard to pin down.
Hope you get it soon!

Learning to paint is not hard, it is more patience and understanding what goes on during the process. I taught myself when I built my chopper and then painted my Road Glide and Deuce.
