Bought a helmet from J&P cycles according to their fitment chart. Too tight, so I lifted the cloth covering the styrofoam and beat the crap out of the foam with a hammerevenly- and now it fits like a dream.

ball peen hammer,
&nbsp\\;
pull the linner back and gradually peen the high areas.&nbsp\\; anything else is too agressive, messy, or just plain&nbsp\\;stupid.

I tried the sandpaper and the ballpeen hammer. Only made her head bleed and complained of a headache

That is what I did.&nbsp\\; $176.00 helmet made for a wormen's head, but it still isn't right.&nbsp\\; Problem doesn't show up until after several hours of riding.&nbsp\\; Good suggestions, won't be the first helmet I custom fit, always used heat before just wondered if there was better way.
