Default 2008 Ultra Front Brakes ABS

How hard is it to change the front pads on a 2008 Ultra with ABS. My dealer said it was getting close when I brought the bike in last week for the 10,000 mile service (Bike is 3 months and 3 days old). The dealer is out of the service manual and I do not have one. I usually do most of the work on my bikes, but this is my first Harley. I have changed many brake pads through the years on many different bikes.
Thanks,
Richard

Brakes at 10k?? Wow that sounds a little premature!

I've got about 13K on my bike w/o any problems. I'm switching to Lyndall pads as soon as I need new ones.

dealer is either lying to you or you need to quit holding onto the brake lever while you are riding down the road. Aint no way you should need them that fast. Especially since your time indicates a lot of highway mileage

I had rears done at 13k when I got a new tire. Fronts are still in good shape. Sounds kinda early.

Go eyeball a new one on the showroom floor and compare.

I've had to change 2 rear brakes to every one front brakes. I get 10k to 15k on rear and 25k to 30k on front. Look at them yourself. Don't trust the stealer.

Default Front brake pads

Pads are easy to change. There is a thread on here with a link to the info you are looking for on how to change them. I would have to say something not right with pads wearing that soon.
