Well. The rerouting of the exhaust is good, the slightly lower gearing is good, the better handling chassis is good. The extra weight without any more power is bad.

I recently sold my 07 FXDL only because after getting the 110 I couldn't go back to the 96 and not miss that extra power. 30lbs is not alot but its 30lbs.
I must be in the minority. \\; if I had the $ (which I DO NOT) I'd trade my 06 roadglide in a heartbeat for an 09 to get the bigger black motor, 6 speed, 6 gal tank \\;and 180 back tire... I love those mods. \\; the new pipe routing really cleans up the left side too... \\;
 \\;
and I'd consider giving my LEFT NUT for a '09 CVO Roadglide in orange/black!
I for one am glad they don't chase there tail every year with major changes. \\; It protects resale value! \\; I think its what got American car companies in trouble with their quality. \\; Keep doing what you do well, introduce well tested quality updates as appropriate. \\; I'm not someone who has to trade constantly to get the latest and greatest. \\; I'm very happy with my '07 Ultra and won't consider changing anyway.
Really wonder about that exhaust pipe that goes under the frame from the right to left side - i.e. how close to the tire and how it will take the road debris.

I was thinking the same thing it only makes sense that the new frame would allow for a new engine. Why else change the mounts? My 08 RG is smooth as silk at speed. So, although I hate jumping on the rumour mill, I suspect we will see a new engine, probably watercooled, for 2010. And NOT the VROD engine thats far too peaky for a tourer. HD will do it right like their ABS discreet but effective.
There will be plenty of folks who'll be trading for that 180 tire, fat rear fender, better detachable hardware, exhaust system, etc.
 \\;
And there will be plenty of guys with '07 and '08 models who will be asking about retro-fitting the fender/tire on their bikesjust a prediction.

horsepower.... thats what these bikes need .......tired of Hondas kickin our asses....they never do anything to improve something that really WOULD make a difference I'll stick with my 06
