windshield for sturgis ride
im riding from vegas to sturgis on the 1st. I have never done a ride that long. I own a 2000 FHLTCI and currently have a 6" clearview shield with recurve. The shield is solid black. I also own a stock clear shield 12"? anyway, i wanted your opinions on which windshield to put on there my clearview or the stock.

I just put on a clearview and will ride up with that from CO. \\; Still no bugs in my teeth. \\; Not much to duck behind with birds and hail but it works fine. \\; Have a safe ride and enjoy the Rally. \\; See you up there.

One thing that has ALWAY happened during the Sturgis Rally when I went (15 years now) IT RAINED. So for the last few years seeing I had to wear a helmet anyway in most of the states. I went Full Fase Modular so the windshield thing didnt make a differance anymore.

I use the 12 for winter ,the 10 for summer trips and the 8 for everyday.....The Air Zepplin seat puts me about 2in higher

My 9" Memphis Shades shield (gradient black) should be arriving on the big brown truck today. \\; I'm hoping it gives me the look and performance I want. \\; I've been running an 8" dark smoke but it's just too dark at night. \\; I look over the top most of the time but I need to be able to look through it too.

Take your 12 clear to a glass shop and cut it to the proper size. I cut mine pretty square so the wife gets less wind and we both get more protection when we take our long summer ride. Put our 6 inch back on the bike as soon as we get home. Save your money on another windsheild....you'll need all the money you have for Sturgis.......
