Default Starter locking up

Went to start my bike today and it sounded like the starter kinda locked up. Did it a couple of times today, bad drive or starter? Kinda made a spin and clunked. Never heard this before, any suggestions?

Probibly not the same thing, but I did have a simalar experiance. The first time it happened the bikes first crank was slow, then started ok. A few days later, the starter hesitated, then CLUNK. Then it started ok the next time. A few days later I was installing a GPS and needed to find the 12V swiched source in the headlight housing. I hooked up my multimeter and turned the key on and it read 11.4 volts. I removed the seat and checked the battery and it was 12.5 volts. It ended up that I had a bad connection at my negative cable to the battery. I cleaned it up and never had the starter problem again.

Been trying to post reply, Checked battery terminals and both of them were loose. Tightened them both up and now the starter spins like new again. Thanks
