I'll be bringing my bike home soon from winter storage at the dealers,I'm one of those unlucky guys with no shed or garage.
I park my bike next to the house in the driveway on a sheet of 3/4" ply (dirt driveway, helps with splash up when it rains)and currently use the HD touring cover #98722-90B in the HD catalog ,I've notice HD also has a touring storm shield cover #98742-96 (more expensive) does anyone know the differences between these two covers, which one might be better protection?
My plans are to either build a shed(once i jump through the hoops of the building inspector and get a permit) or try to buy a enclosed trailer to put the bike in when not riding to get it out of the weather.
Just my Opinion, but I wouldn't buy a H.D. cover. It just advertises that there is a H.D. under the cover, if you buy one without a logo on it, everyone will think its just a Metric and Move on. Best option, get a lockable shed.
