YES YOU CAN MIX AIR AND NITROGEN. FOR THE COST? NO NITRO JUST DOES NOT EXPAND OR REACT TO TEMP CHANGES. THATS WHY 200PSI AT 40,000 FT AT 70 BELOW AND YOU LAND YOU STILL HAVE 200PSI IN THE TIRES IN AVIATION. BIKES WASTE OF MONEY UNLESS YOU ROAD RACE
couldn't hurt, if it's free.
on the other hand...
I heard that in the future, all tires will be required to have 2 valve stems.
One to suck out the offending atmospheric air and the other to supply pure nitrogen to replenish the 22% of the tire cavity volume that \\;originally contained \\;gasses other than nitrogen.
 \\;
What will they think of next?
THIS IS GOD SPEAKING...GET A LIFE DOUCHE BAGS. That is all. Nitrogen in tires? to much time on your hands eh?
how much time?...oh, about as much for us to realize you're an *******!...you dick
Look lady, I'm not the one with the chrome helmet and fingerless gloves asking stupid questions. The only thing missing is your chaps with fringe i hope.
nitrogen is denser than air so it evoparates more slowly. the downside is you need to keep nitrogen in them if installed cant mix with air. air found everywhere on a sunday nitrogen harder to find if needed
 \\;
huh?
 \\;
Considering that regular old atmospheric air is composed of mostly nitrogen anyway, I wouldn't see a problem with adding it to an already nitrogen filled tire.
 \\;
 \\;
**Even if you were to let all the air pressure out of your tire prior to refilling it with nitrogen, you are STILL not getting a 100% nitrogen fill. \\; What about the air that was remaining in the tire after bleeding off the pressure? \\; Just cuz it doesn't show on your pressure gauge, doesn't mean it isn't still there.....it its, just at the same pressure as the outside air.
