Default 08 backrest
mounted backrest from an 07 to my 08 and it leans to far back. The slit in seat wont let it come forword. Any ideas?

Its an ultra.&nbsp\\; Is hd putting out a new backrest for the new seat design?

I had the backrest off my 04RG, used it on my 08RG no problem

New mounting hardware to 08 coming in September. Might be the reason...

Anyone out there know about an upcoming mounting system for backrest on an 08 ultra?&nbsp\\; I'm wondering if a new backrest is also in the picture?&nbsp\\; Thanks in advance.

Have you tried adjusting the screw in the back of the seat? That tilts it forward and back.

Yep, all the way in and still cant lean back far enough to use the backrest.

The non-adjustable backrest just doesnt fit the 08s very well I couldnt get it to fit at all. I went to the adjustable&nbsp\\; and it fits perfect with a full range of adjustment.
