Dont pay MSRP... keep your current scoot. If enough people did this, the Moco may rethink their worth and actually start to appreciate us. [sm=goodidea.gif]
These folks need to learn about tuff times and the recession we are in... My .02
xcelr8, I stated in my thread there aren't many dealers who sell for MSRP...NO set up fees, NO document fees and NO get ready fees \\;\\\\\\;. I believe my statement is true! I have traveled to most of the US, and I have visited probably 4-5 hundred Harley dealers....This was the ammo for my statement. You \\;\\\\\\;probably will \\;\\\\\\;pay freight anywhere too!

I too have been to many dealers from Florida to California to Canada, and I never thought of checking prices in each store, simply because it would have been a waste of time for myself as well as the salesman. All of \\; my bikes were purchased from just 2 local dealers, and I only paid MSRP or less. The factory freight charge is legitimate, and I have no problem with that. On the other hand, the BS freight and set up charges are simply a "let's see if we can find a sucker to pay" charges. At this time of the year dealers must sell all of their '08 models ASAP, and all of them will do whatever it takes to clear them out. It's called negotiating.

\\;When boys are buying toys all logic goes out the window.
xcelr8, the only time I'm wasting is yours....I've been in sales for 35 years, so I'm observant! Most dealers have prices on their bikes...If not, they are usually on the high end! I stated earlier this post is about a 2009 FLHX, and what the price should be now! I too, have only paid msrp plus factory freight only....

HA HA \\; gotcha beat! 40 years in full time professional sales for me. I know.............that and a dollar will get me a cup of coffee!
The prices have been getting were from $21600 sec., non-abs otd. \\; Also, $22,100 non-abs, sec and cruise otd both colors are black. \\; The otd includes all fees and 7% tax. \\; What kind of prices have you guys been getting?
I went into a dealer last weekend and they quoted me MSRP + fees. He then said he could probably cut the fees in half or eat them altogether. I plan on trading in this Dec. That will probably play into consideration seeing that I'm from up by Chicago and the temps will be falling.
