This is info for a 2000, EG -Not sure if your will be in the same spot - What year do you have? - The sticker is on the frame where the VIN is located. It will have the mfg date. The sticker is on the right side of the bike, but is only visible when looking at the inside of the frame from the left side of the bike. Look in the area where the front head is located and you'll notice the sticker.
It should have the sticker on the neck like Kess mentioned. You can also see the rear injector from the left side of the bike with a flashlight. If it has â25 degâ printed on it then you have the new injectors.
So from itâs born date until you took delivery was less than 9 days? Wow! I have a new Ultra coming and the dealer said the ship date from the MOCO is scheduled for the 13th of April so I find that number VERY interesting.
Oh wait, is that date March of 2006 or March 6th? Well either way you got that bike quick.
ORIGINAL: Branded
I found it!! 03/06
Its a 2006 just brought it home. Was wanting to find the date so I would know if it had the old style or new style injectors.
You can call Harley Customer Support at 414-343-4056 and give them your VIN. They will give you engine build date and bike build date. Remember the engines are built months before they are assymbled to the bike.....at a completely different factory.
My SG has an engine build date of 01/01/06 (yes a Sunday)??? and an bike build date of 02/16/06.
I think the Service Bulletin said that all bikes built after 02/13/06 will have the new injectors. I think they mean "engine" build not final assymbely.
I haven't got my bike yet so I can't check to see if I have the new or old injectors.
Well if it takes ~six weeks for the engines with new injectors to get assembled to a bike there wonât be bikes built with the CVO injectors until around the end of March.
Done the flashlight deal and yes it does have the 27709-06A injectors. Guess I didnt get a motor built weeks or months before he bike was built. I called Mann's HD yesterday about the bike I wanted and they still had it in the crate. Went at looked it over and road it home today.
