Upgraded to 09 SG
Several months ago I asked you all if I should order an 08 SG thru military sales or wait for the 09s. \\; There were great arguments for both sides, but I went ahead and ordered an 08 SG with ABS and Cruise. \\; Well last week when the 09s came out, I immediately thought I needed to upgrade...he is what I was thinking..

I wanted a wider rear tire on my 08 and the 09's filled that bill
I want a larger tire ("18) on the front and the 09's (17) filled that bill sort of...
I was concerned about the wobble I read about on this forum and I hope the 09's fixed that problem
Finally, I was going to put true duals on the 08, but with the 09's I might be able to get by with slip on for the sound. \\;

The upgrade cost me about a grand with the upgraded wheels....I was eventually going to change them on the 08 too.

And the best thing is that they will be able to deliver the bike about 2 weeks later than the 08....(in about 1 1/2 months from now)

Just wanted to say thanks for all the great advise, humor and knowledge you all have provided and also how this forum helped pass the time over here for the past 14 months

I think the changes on the 09 are difinately worth it. You made the right decision. The frame and motormount changes are big improvements. Far superior swing arm, 4 point motormount, no bent tube on the frame, 20% stiffer, new design in the tire. All these things are great. \\;  \\;  \\;

Thanks for the comments...I did get the ABS, Cruise, Security and Wheel Upgrade and I got the fastest color too.

Can't wait to get back to the states and ride the bike....I will have to wait about 2 weeks before it is delivered, but hell I have waited this long, whats a couple more weeks right?

In the meantime, I will be watching the forum for performance reviews of the 09's.
