I was passed on the right side by an unknown HD rider, as I was pulling off to the side of the road. I don't know how we didn't crash. I had my turn signal on and brake lights were functioning. He never had a clue and he even waved. Thank god the wife was with me or I'd be in jail and he would be in the morgue. People please don't pass on the right side !!!!!
That kind of crap happens and it's best to keep your cool and move on about your way. It's a little safer riding when your not all riled up. Not only that... plenty a HD riders carry guns. Don't ask me how I know.
I guess I would have to ask how long your turn signal was on. Did he have enough time to react? What kind of bike do you ride? If your turn signal is not very bright or the sun was ahead of you he might not have seen it. If you were travelling kind of slow, maybe he had to pass on the right. I'm not trying to pass blame but, you just never know what someone else is thinking or what they see or not see. He might be the nicest person around. Maybe he just didn't see your intentions.
That's why you check your 6 when you change positions. \\; Don't make him right, but the ambulance driver &\\; the mortician don't care about "right"..........
I also carry my friend. I know I'm a better rider... Willing to bet a better shot as well.... I ride an Ultra with plenty of lights... heading east as the sun was setting in the west... Checked my 6 that's how I avoided this so called biker.. and No reason what so ever to pass me on the right.. Wide open, no traffic, country road.. in Ohio

Right or wrong has nothing to do with it. Come home safe everyday is the objective. Don't blame others for your safety. Make it happen yourself. Check your six next time.
