I have a friend that teaches auto painting at a College of Techology and had been trained by all of the major factories and paint companies.&nbsp\\; He highly recommends Simple Green.&nbsp\\; Buy at WalMart for about $10 and mix 10 to 1.&nbsp\\; It will make about 10 gallons that way.&nbsp\\; Spray on, let sit a couple of minutes.&nbsp\\; Doesn't bother the wax and works great.&nbsp\\; I have been using for years on cars and bikes.&nbsp\\; Cheap too.

+1 on the Plexus, and I also like the Novus products for plastic. I like to clean the windshield and then polish it ending with the Plexus spray. This makes the plastic very slick and harder for the bug guts to adhere to. As for the painted surface....the peroxide, or the wet towel to let them soak....then a good coat of high quality wax....either Carnauba or synthetic.
