i have a late 2008 SG- i heard i can deactivate rear cylinder getting fuel to keep leg cooler when it is at a light..EITMS (Engine Idle Temperature Management System) , manual says nothing how to do it. i read has sometihing to do with the cruise control and throttle position and then color of cruise control lamp... does it make that much of a differance ??
Roll the throttle forward for 3 sec when at idle to enable or disable. Cruise control light will blink green for enabled, yellow for disabled. Ride safe.
Is that really going to make a diiference at a stoplight? \\; The heads and exhaust will still \\; be cookin, so how much cooler can it be for a minute or so?

Treating the symptoms is like some kind of crazy voodoo. I think curing the problem is the key, upgrade to a more freely exhaling exhaust and the stage one kit along with the SERT/SEST. Oil cooler if necessary. Making the engine run cooler is the key. I did all but the oil cooler and actually made a world of difference on mine.
