Neutral switch
unplug the two wires from the neutral switch itself (on tranny cover), run a jumper wire from one to the other.
If the light comes on without any problems there is a real good chance \\; the switch (part# 33904-00) \\;needs to be replaced.

They are on the third revision of the switch....It is $18. \\; Replace it. \\; Very simple to get to and there is NO adjustment on the switch. \\; It seems that they fail when they get hot. \\; I'll be that when your bike "cools" it will work again. \\;

But as new wrench said, first check that power is going to the two plugs on the switch.
 \\;
Simply replace it... I did on my '07 and had NO further problem.

I had the same problem with my 05 a few months ago. I pulled the wires off, squeezed the connectors a slight amount, sprayed contact cleaner on the connections and replaced the wires. It has been working ever since.
Did you locate your problem??? I am having the same problem with my 06 EG.
I've been having issues with my 2007 Ultra Glide not cranking after the bike gets hot, my Neutral like will flicker after riding awhile,I had searched this forum about this issue but other problems were mentioned, I think you have hit the nail on the head for my issue, I just wish I had found this thread earlier, I've switched out everything else , spent around $400.00 and now it might be a $12 part. I'll have to check this out, thanks for your information this really helps!
There's a seller on eBay selling Neutral Switches for $9 shipped. Genuine Harley parts. I'm not affiliated, just thought someone else could benefit. I did!
