Default Bike jack

Just picked up a cycle jack for my EG. When the bike's on it's stand leaning towards the left is there anything I need to know in order to start the lift? a little nervous on picking the bike off the ground when it's tilted. Thanks everyone and ride on!

when you are raising the jack the bike should be centered on the jack so it lifts
&nbsp\\;
the tires evenly off the ground-ride safe

Center on my Ultra is rear arm about 1 inch from the rear of the frame. I sit on the bike and pump it with my right foot until it sits stable. The spread is perfect for all the oils but that also depends on what jack you have.

mine i go in from the right side, left arm of the jack is&nbsp\\;under the rear crossmember on the frame, i have to pull the bike towards me off its side stand to get the jack under it all the way (bike is lowered) and jack it up, its what works for me.

You didn't say whay jack you have, but mine is big red from northern, and lifts the same way. I have done frt, rear tire changes, fork replace, exhaust...list goes on, with no issues. Bike straightens up the higher I go.

I use the Sears Craftsman jack and it scares the crap out of me. My front tire is about 3 to 4 inches off the ground before my rear tire starts to go up. Am I doing something wrong
