I get it with strong winds when I'm on the superslab doing 70+. Sometimes so bad I think my front wheel is loose.

I get the same wiggle at about 75mph when its super windy or turning. I heard there are companies out there who make stabilizer kits for this issue.

Being a new rider and not having a lot of confidence I got rid of my 07' Ultra for this reason and got a Road Glide. Because the fairing is attached to the bars, any freaky winds will push the bars around as well as the bike. With the Rg you get some buffeting when behind a semi or in any "dirty" air but it doesn't push the bars around which makes the dirty air more of an issue. Now that I have many more miles under my belt and by making a point of riding when it is windy I doubt that I would be bothered by this as much now. I have a friend that has an Ultra and he says he doesn't even notice it. I think with more miles you would get used to it and not even notice it any more. T.

my ultra does it on a milled surface, but nothing compared to the v-star I rode before the ultra. the only other things i could say is check your tire pressure (if my tires a 2-3 psi low they'll do it worse), and check the treadwear, but you said you have switched to michelin's (i have no experience with them, yet)

It's usually one of three main reasons for wobble - fairing/windshield, steering head bearings or offset between the front and rear wheel. It's not just Harley, any bike can do it.

That's the feeling I'm talking about! I even have a Alloy Art Stabilizer that I'm beginning to think it don't do a thing. Maybe it's time to try the TWR Missing link.
This drives me crazy since I ride to work, about 100 miles round trip a day, mostly interstate. When it happens it takes the joy out of riding.
