When on the highway at higher speeds, 70 on up, do you ever feel a wiggle every now and then, in the steering, when it gets a little breezy or going over minor road imperfection?
I experience this on a regular basis when on the interstate. I have recently changed to Michelin Commanders, Lyndall Z pads and Floating rotors in an attempt to correct this condition. The tires have been balanced etc. and the dealer claims everything is aligned properly.
I'm beginning to think this may be a normal feeling with the batwing rather than a problem with my bike. That is why I am asking if others experience this.
You would think that a touring bike would be steady as a rock at all speeds.
Maybe I should have bought a Road Glide. LOL!
I really don't feel any wiggling at all, I do a lot of highway driving on my commute to work 75-80 mph and it's solid as a rock. I occasionally get up to 100+ when out with the boys, and it's very solid there too.
On a long stretch of highway that was straight for miles, I set the cruise control at 75 and had both hands off the bars for at least 2-3 miles.......no wiggling at all.
I just got back from a 1200 mile trip on my Street Glide. The only time I noticed any wiggle was when I was in the turbulant air behind a semi. Otherwise I was running 80-85 and had no issues.
