I just installed the Heritage bars, 56902-08, and they are great! What a difference.
That appears to the `08/notched version of my current 56623-99 Heritage bars. Yep, definitely an improvement!

ah-ha. It's in their current online handlebar specs, too. This is new (and good). Personally I would avoid anything where the endrise is less than the rise.
Updated HD bar specs for Road Glide (added RK Reduced Reach):
What's wrong with [the RoadGlide custom bars, 56570-98], in your opinion?
I've no doubt that there are many who like them; for me, with reasonable pullback, they were just way too low with a bad angle on the hand position. Sorta the logical inverse of those really high ape-hangers...
That's what I like about them. They make me feel like my hands are in a more "natural" position. I have some problems with carpal tunnel, especially with my throttle hand. My index and middle fingers and thumb go numb on my right hand, and I've noticed it's not as bad with these bars as it was with the stock bars. Like you said, though. They ain't for everybody.
The heritage bars on my 2008 Road Glide was the best money that I have spent. I no longer feel that I have to reach forward to ride and my elbows no longer have any discomfort.
I would suggest that anyone who has discomfort or feels they need to reach forward a little too far would make this change.
