The heritage bars on my 2008 Road Glide was the best money that I have spent. I no longer feel that I have to reach forward to ride and my elbows no longer have any discomfort.
I would suggest that anyone who has discomfort or feels they need to reach forward a little too far would make this change.
Vidro, did you use the Herttage bars 56902-08, I know it has more pullback but does it have any more heigth?
Another well kept secret is the Chrome RK high bars. Got em on my RKC and love em. By the way I'm 5'7" so I needed pullback and also wanted higher bars. They did both. One of Harley's cheapest parts. < $70 And no mods on my 08 w/ABS.
my +2 sweepers came yesterday. Holding them up to the bike, they seem very close to the heritage bars I have on there, maybe a slight bit more rise. Wrist angle looks to be the same, which I like. I will switch them out anyway, because I like the looks of the sweepers, but I am anxious to lay them side by side off the bike to see how much difference there is. IIRC the wrist angle on the heritage bars was flatter than the WG bars, much less 'buckhorn'-ish, which led me to those in the 1st place...
Please let us know how they compare! Maybe pics, too?
will do... still waiting on my 1 piece clamp to arrive before I swap anything out... gawd I hate this place... I was perfectly content and didn't even know these bars OR the 1 piece clamp existed until I read about them here... made me spend $ I didn't want to spend... but I am easily coerced (sp?)...
actually, my heritage bars were a huge improvement for me over stock, and I would rate them "good" or even "better", I am just looking for "best" (best for me, unless you are built exactly like I am, ymmv)...
