I've riddent the little 250 Rebel earlier this year. A gal at work bought one in a near by town and asked me to go pick it up for her. Rode it through the canyon, 45mph, then a short stretch on the freeway, almost 70, couldn't go any faster.
After gassing it up when purchased, riding it 50 miles to her place and her practicing for a couple weeks she had to buy gas again.
Don't I wish.
I bought my 08 RK three weeks ago and have over 1500 on it and have filled it plenty of times already.
The little Rebel is an easy, fun bike for beginners though.
I work 16 miles away and ride the Ultra but then I have to go Freeway (80 plus mph most of the time). If I worked in town and didn't have to get on the freeway I'd definately have me a small bike or a scooter in the garage too. Just for the fun of it.
Actually planning on buying a more elcetic type of bike (maybe a BMW because I need some ergonomics) for having a bit of fun on something a tad lighter...Have my eyes of some goat trails that might be a bit much on an Ultra.
Those of you wearing your HD ONLY patch on your sleeve have no idea what other fun you are missing. Don't get me wrong I love my Ultra, have plenty of miles on her and will put plenty more..but sometimes it's a bit more then I need for simple riding.
