Default PCIII Install Question

I'm ready to install a PCIII USB on my 06 Ultra. Can I upload a map to the PCIII using the 9 volt battery thingy prior to installing the PCIII on the bike?
Just want to make sure.

Thanks

Yes you can. However if you have a notebook it would be better to do it on the bike. You can set throttle position and other things as you feel more comfortable.

I watched the dyno tech install mine and it seems that the throttle position setting was critical.
I hope you didn't use the velcro, but rather used plastic zip ties to mount the PC to the CPU.

The 9V thingy is there to power it so you can replace the "stock bike" map it is shipped with with a custom map from thier map selection site before you install it on the bike.
